Dear Brackett Families,

It is with great excitement that I announce that Meaghan Dumas will serve as the next assistant principal for the Brackett Elementary School community.

Thank you to those of you who participated in the initial screening committee, attended forums, and provided written feedback as a part of this extensive process. I really appreciate your support of me and the warm welcome you gave to each of the amazing candidates that visited for final interviews. Read the full announcement here.

SEPAC Shoutout Nomination Form

Arlington SEPAC is proud to launch SEPAC Shoutouts, a new opportunity for families to recognize APS staff who make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students with disabilities.

Across our district, many educators, specialists, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and support staff play an important role in helping students feel understood, included, supported, and successful. This program is a way for families to share appreciation for those efforts.

Families are invited to nominate a staff member who has had a positive impact on their child’s educational experience. Nominations may highlight a staff member’s compassion, creativity, advocacy, communication, problem-solving, commitment to inclusion, or other ways they have helped a student thrive.

Who can be nominated?
Any Arlington Public Schools staff member who has supported a student with disabilities, including special educators, general educators, paraprofessionals, therapists, counselors, administrators, and other school-based staff.

Who can nominate?
Parents and caregivers of Arlington Public Schools students.

Recognition

If selected, your nominee will be spotlighted in the SEPAC newsletter. The description you provide below will be used to highlight the recipient's contributions to the APS community.
