Assistant Principal Family Forum

On Monday, May 11, I invite you to meet our assistant principal candidates in a family forum on zoom. Each candidate will join for 20 minutes. We will begin with a few set questions and then open up to questions that are dropped into the chat.

Here are short blurbs from each candidate introducing themselves and their resumes, cover letters, and letters of recommendation. Please take time to look at this prior to attending the forum.

The forum will run from 7-8:15pm.

Family/Caregiver Class Placement Hopes, Wonderings or Insights Form

As we close out the school year, we invite families to share Hopes, Wonderings, or Insights into class placement for next school year.

This form is an optional way for families/caregivers to provide insight towards the placement process. While families are not permitted to make specific teacher requests, we value your input in helping us consider potential peer dynamics and classroom compositions. We will collect responses for the next two weeks (until May 22).

APS District-wide Pride Celebration

Our fourth annual APS District-wide Pride Celebration is Saturday, May 9th on the front lawn of Arlington High School from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.!

Join us for:

  • Fun (arts & crafts, bouncy houses, activities)
  • Music (with plenty of room to dance and sing; dress up if you'd like!)
  • Food (popcorn, Del's lemonade)
  • Friends & Community (every school will be represented with elementary Rainbow Alliances, middle school QSAs and the AHS GSA each hosting tables with activities for all ages)
**All activities and popcorn are free. Other refreshments will be sold by local vendors. A portion of proceeds will help fund the Rainbow Alliances, QSAs and AHS GSA, including our district-wide Back to School gathering and next year's district-wide Pride celebration.

Planning to attend? Register here! (We can't wait to see you there!)
Interested in volunteering? Sign up here. (We appreciate you! Please be sure to list your contact info in the second tab.)

The event is for all ages and is being hosted by the APS Rainbow Leadership Task Force (co-chaired with Dr. Mona Ford Walker), the Arlington Elementary School Rainbow Alliances, Middle School QSAs, and AHS GSA, in partnership with the Town of Arlington Rainbow Commission.
