Dear Brackett Families, Wow! What a fantastic Tuesday event. Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Lego Expo, Discovery Fair, and Science Fair. It was an amazing display of incredibly hard work. I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow at STEM night as well!
Here is the March ART Newsletter. Enjoy!
Tardies As a reminder, school begins at 8am. We open the doors at 7:55am. We mark students tardy beginning at 8:05. Unfortunately, the number of students arriving after 8:05 has been steadily increasing. I know that with daylight savings time this week has been tricky, but please make a plan to get your child/children to school on time. This allows them to have a calm transition into the school day and feel settled and ready to learn.
Best, Dr. Vice

From Nurse BarasThis week, we have had several reported cases of influenza B within the school community. At this time, no trends or outbreaks have been identified. I am continuing to monitor cases closely, and will send further notifications as needed.
Flu symptoms typically come on quickly, and can include:
If your student develops illness symptoms, please refer to the APS Illness Guidelines and keep them home from school if they meet the criteria. You should reach out to their pediatrician for further evaluation, and to discuss testing and treatment options if needed. Absences due to illness can be medically excused by a note from the health care provider.
Please inform me if your student tests positive for flu, or any other communicable disease. Stay well! |

Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day!
Saturday, March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day! WDSD is celebrated on 3/21 in honor of the three copies of the 21st chromosome that all people with Down syndrome have. One way to show appreciation and support for classmates and communities is to wear fun patterned, mismatched socks, because chromosomes look like socks, and all socks are the same even when they look different from one another, just like people, with or without Down syndrome. We will be celebrating on Monday, March 23. On Monday 3/23, celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by sending your child(ren) to school wearing their brightest, mismatched socks! |
