Family Newsletter Week of January 9, 2026

Dear Brackett Families,

Welcome back! Hope you all are doing well returning to routines and managing the winter weather. Tomorrow's spirit day is BACKWARDS day. Students can show their school spirit by wearing their clothes backwards. What a wacky way to end the first week back!

It is the beginning of the month… please check out these two newsletters:

Inside the PTO newsletter you will find details for the K-1 Math Night and the upcoming Glow Dance. Check it out!

Below you will find important information about an upcoming budget forum. I encourage you to learn about the impact of a “no override” scenario and what that could mean for our schools, students, and community. Dr. Homan will be presenting about this at the School Committee meeting this evening. I plan to attend in person, but the meeting is viewable online as well.

Best,

Dr. Vice

January Webinar: Helping Kids Handle Big Feelings

The holidays and the return to school in January can bring up big emotions for kids and parents alike. If your child is feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or struggling with transitions, this webinar is for you.

Join Cartwheel and Alex Hirshberg, Psy.D., for a free, live webinar on helping kids handle big feelings and build confidence on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 7–8pm ET. You will learn simple, practical ways to support your child through uncomfortable emotions, everyday stress, and change.

Parents and caregivers will leave with tools they can use right away at home and as kids head back to school.

See the attached flyer for details and register here.
