Dear Brackett Families,
We had a celebratory morning here at Brackett. Our fourth graders read their food-focused poetry to their families, Arlington Eats representatives and ACMI, who are putting together a segment on this collaboration. As Dr. Homan mentioned in her remarks on our professional learning day, this is an amazing example of the deeper learning experiences that we value in Arlington Public Schools! A special shout out to Ms. Varallo, Mr. Hood, Ms. Calcaterra, Ms. Wroblewski, and Ms. Keir who orchestrated this incredible event. Once the segment airs, I will make sure to share this with families.
Tomorrow is HAT DAY – the second spirit day sponsored by the Student Council! I’m looking forward to seeing what fun head attire everyone will be wearing.
Finally, this will be my last newsletter communication before Thanksgiving; the next will come out in December! WOW! How time flies! Make sure to check out the book fair info below. This weeklong event begins the Monday after Thanksgiving break.
One last reminder… Wednesday is a SPECIAL early release day. Students get out at 11:30am. Bagged lunches are available.
Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for this incredible community. Hope your holiday is full of joy and belonging.
Best, Dr. Vice
