Family Newletter Week of October 17, 2025

Dear Brackett Families,

Here is your gentle reminder to sign up for conferences with your child’s teacher.

I noticed that we have an increased number of families requesting an online conference. If at all possible, I encourage you to attend conferences in person. This allows your child’s teacher to more effectively show you their progress and share resources. Of course, we understand that this is sometimes difficult and most importantly want to share this moment with you.

Best,

Dr. Vice

Brackett Astronomy Night - Date Clarification

Join the PTO STEM Committee as we gaze at the night sky at Astronomy Night on Saturday, October 18th, starting at 6:45pm. We'll meet up first at the Brackett Elementary main entrance for a quick talk beforehand from Allen Feinstein and then walk over to Robbins Farm Park by the dog statue for viewing (rain/cloud date: Sunday, October 19th, 6:45 p.m.).

Spicing Things Up: Chemistry Week is Here!

Get ready to unlock a universe of flavor and science because Chemistry Week is back, running from October 20th through the 23rd after school by the main entrance!

This year, the Brackett STEM Committee invites you to peer into The Hidden Life of Spices! Forget what you think you know about those jars in your cabinet. We're going on a fascinating journey to discover the powerful natural products hidden inside the spices and flavors that make our food so delicious.

Stop by the main entrance of Brackett Elementary after school each day to explore a world where the vibrant colors and intoxicating aromas of your kitchen are the key to serious science.

Come see, smell, and learn how a pinch of spice can reveal a whole lot about chemistry! You won't want to miss it.
