Family Newsletter Week of 6/19/2025

Dear Brackett Families,

First and foremost, thank you for a wonderful school year. The support of families is a key part of making sure that we have a successful year. Thank you especially to our PTO Board for their leadership and continued support. Thank you to all of the family volunteers who designed, organized, and participated in the extracurricular school events that are such an integral part of the Brackett experience.

On Monday this week, we celebrated our fifth graders. We are so proud of the people they have become and wish them well next year. One part of the ceremony is the Top Ten. Every fifth grader wrote down what they would remember about their years at Brackett. Here are their responses…

  1. Meeting teachers & the first day of school
  2. June Fair
  3. Kindergarten buddies
  4. Performing with Chorus & Positively Showtime
  5. Scooper Bowl
  6. Field Trips
  7. Glow Dance
  8. Recess
  9. Meeting New Friends

And finally the top #1 memory of Brackett School is …. Drumroll please.

  1. Field Day!

Clearly, these moments in which families and students are playing and learning together are so memorable. Again, thank you!

This will be my final newsletter for the school year. I will email again when Progress Reports go live in PowerSchool. I know that many of you have questions about class placement and supplies. Class placement will be announced mid-August. Please look for a communication from me on or before August 18, 2025. Here is the current list of teachers for SY 25-26. Look below for grade-level supply lists.

Have a wonderful summer! Looking forward to seeing you on Monday at 11:30 for our early dismissal and fifth grade clap out!

Best,
Dr. Vice
