Dear Brackett Families,

I’m excited to share that our Social Work intern, Rose Minichiello, is offering an amazing opportunity for families – Playlist with Purpose: a two-workshop series in which parents/guardians work with their child to create music playlists tailored to support emotional regulation.

Lots of other new information today too!

Best,
Dr. Vice

Rainbow Taskforce Community Conversation

The first of two Community Conversations sponsored by the APS Rainbow Task Force is happening March 20 and being hosted at Dallin. It is open to all APS students and families. There will be read alouds, hot cocoa, and a visit from Officer Roder the comfort dog! Additional information is on this flyer

STEM Night

STEM Night is coming to Brackett on Fri, March 21 6-8pm!  Join in the fun — Brackett's first and second floors will be filled with amazing STEM activities designed to engage students’ minds and inspire curiosity about the world around them.

This year’s STEM Night promises several new activities as well as some annual favorites, including:

  • Touch a Brain & Touch, Hear, and Make a Heart
  • Magnetic Magic: Exploring the Invisible Forces of Stars
  • Harness the Wind: Design, Build, & Test a Wind Turbine
  • Brackett Math Adventure Scavenger Hunt
  • Make Your Own LED Craft Project
  • And so much more!

STEM Night is FREE to attend!

Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase in the cafeteria. Don't forget to check out the 5th Grade Bake Sale.

We are looking for volunteers to help lead activities. Sign up here

Grade 5 Fundraiser Movie Night

The fifth grade class would like to invite the Brackett community to their Movie Night on Friday, March 28 (doors open at 6:00; the movie will start at 6:30). They will be showing “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.”  Come watch this classic 1989 Disney comedy in which four kids are shrunk to the size of ants by one of their scientist father's inventions. They must figure out a way to get to their parents so they can be brought back to normal size.

This fundraiser supports the Grade 5 Fund and has a suggested donation of $5/person up to $20/family.

Pizza, drinks, snacks and fifth grade bake sale items will be sold in the cafeteria beginning at 6:00pm!

Fifth Grade Families:  Sign up here to volunteer to help staff the Movie Night or bake for the Bake Sale.   We need both parent/caregiver and student volunteers!

BASP Board

Are you interested in joining the Brackett After School Program (BASP) Board? The BASP Board is a group of parent/guardian volunteers dedicated to ensuring a strong program for our children. To learn more, click here for details and to fill out an inquiry form by March 31st if interested.
