Family Newsletter Week of 12/19/2024

Dear Brackett Families,

It is with deep gratitude that I wish you and yours a wonderful winter break. Brackett is such an incredible school. Each day as families come to volunteer, as fifth graders kindly lead the younger students, as our teachers go above and beyond to help our students connect with their learning, I am reminded of how it takes all of us together to build this special community. Thank you for continuing to support Brackett with your time, talents, and treasure.

Over the next few days, many of us will share traditions with families and friends that celebrate new beginnings and hope. I hope these are filled with laughter and peace for you, that you can take time to rest and renew as we look forward to 2025!

We announced at our all school assembly this morning that we would celebrate our last school day of 2024 with a pajama spirit day! See you in your PJs tomorrow!

Yours,
Dr. Vice

Message from our Social Workers

The social work department is excited to offer a parent/caregiver workshop on the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) treatment model. SPACE is designed for families who find themselves over-accommodating their child’s anxiety.

Do you have a child struggling with anxiety?

Do you find yourself modifying daily routines, avoiding certain places or activities, or doing things for your child to prevent their distress? If yes, this workshop might be a great fit for you.
