Dear Brackett Families,
Here is the September PTO newsletter.
One week out of every month, the PTO writes the newsletter with additional information about their events and activities. In this issue you will find additional information about …Fall Fest & the costume swap, Trivia Night, Spirit wear, and more!
As it begins to feel like fall, please make sure to LABEL all jackets and long sleeves. It often gets warmer during the day, and students leave items in various places. Labeling helps us return items to their owners.
Looking forward to seeing you all next Thursday at Back to School Night!
Best,
Dr. Vice
New Information Overview

- Fifth Grade Committee
- Calendar Updates & Additional Resources
Back to School Night Schedule
Back to School Night runs from 6-8pm next Thursday, September 26.
Presentations are in the classrooms at the times listed below. During the class presentations, you should learn generally about the curriculum. In between the two grade-focused sessions, we will have a Meet & Greet/Involvement Fair in the gym. This gives families the opportunity to meet with our amazing specialists, sign up for the PTO, and submit CORI paperwork to volunteer for the school.
- 6:00-6:45pm K–2 Class Presentations
- 6:45-7:15pm Meet & Greet/Involvement Fair
- 7:15-8:00pm 3–5 Class Presentations
What if I have children in two different classes that are presenting at the same time?
This year, families who are missing a presentation because of timing (let's say they have a 3rd and 5th grader for example) are invited to stop by each class, get materials, and say hello to the classroom teacher during the opposite presentation time.
Is there child care?
We want all families to be able to attend. Please reach out to me directly if you have child care needs.
Fifth Grade Volunteers
The 5th Grade Committee is calling 5th Grade Parent(s) and Guardian(s) to join the committee!
The 5th Grade Committee organizes fundraisers for 5th grade t-shirts, yearbooks, class gifts and more. We also organize the “Celebration of Learning.” Come help make this last year at Brackett for our children an amazing one! If you would like to be part of the committee please email [email protected] by next Friday September 27. We will then send out a survey for the best Zoom Meeting day/time and start planning!
