Family Newsletter Week of 4/12/2024

Dear Brackett Families,

Wishing you all a wonderfully restful Spring Break! We hope you have time together with friends and family. We will come back to a busy final 8 weeks of school. This is a good time to check your calendar to make sure you are able to attend all the fun events and field trips coming up!

LOST & FOUND!

Our lost & found has grown substantially in the past week. All items with names are easily returned to students, but many are still unclaimed. Please take time tomorrow morning to look through these items. The PTO Lost & Found committee will display all items outside tomorrow afternoon (weather permitting), and then the remaining items will be donated over Spring Break. This is your reminder to check out the unclaimed items.

Congratulations to our Third Grade students who took their very first MCAS tests this week. We are so proud of them!

Best,

Dr. Vice

Maintaining Good Hand Hygiene

It is no secret that good hand hygiene helps to stop the spread of germs. Students are encouraged to maintain good hand hygiene throughout the day, and build hand hygiene practices into their daily routines at school. Parents/guardians are encouraged to continue building these healthy habits at home, highlighting the importance of washing hands after using the restroom, before eating, after playing outside, and whenever hands are dirty.

A big part of maintaining good hand hygiene at school is washing hands before eating, especially after coming in from recess. There is hand sanitizer readily available in the cafeteria, along with sinks for washing with soap and water.

Resources and additional information can be found here

Let us all work together to help stop the spread of germs, and help to keep ourselves and our fellow community members healthy and well!
