Dear Brackett Families,
It is with great excitement that I announce that Ms. Sue Robinson will be starting on Monday as the new Brackett Administrative Assistant.
During the interview process, Ms. Robinson shared that this is truly her dream job. I have to say that this is a dream for us as well!:) Ms. Robinson has a long tradition of connection to Brackett as both a parent and as a Brackett student! I look forward to you getting to know her warm and welcoming presence as well as her impressive organizational skills.
Please check out the volunteer opportunities below! Volunteers make such a difference to our school community. If you have not volunteered already this year, please strongly consider signing up!
Best,
Dr. Vice

FAMILY MATH NIGHT
We are still looking for volunteers for the Brackett Family Math Night, 4-5 grades, next Monday Feb 5th. Please reach out to to Federico Fraschetti, parent of a 3rd and 5th grader, to volunteer!
Fourth and fifth graders and their grown ups are invited to join us for a playful evening of hands-on mathematical exploration at Family Math Night on Monday, Feb 5. Activities span a wide range of topics and difficulty levels!
Family Math Nights are free, parent-run PTA programs.
HOUR OF CODE
The Brackett STEM Committee is excited to bring the Hour of Code into classrooms during the week of February 12-16.
Brackett is a great way to introduce our students to computer programming fundamentals through a series of coding games. For more information about the Hour of Code please visit: https://code.org/learn.
We are looking for parent volunteers to come into their child's classroom to lead a 40-minute coding activity. No coding experience is necessary, and the time commitment is under an hour. If you are interested, please sign up online. If you have any questions, please reach out to Tammy Kalt. We hope you'll join us!
ALUMNI READERS
Brackett Alumni – Sign up here to be a Literacy Week Guest Reader on February 28 from 8:10-8:30. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
STEM NIGHT ACTIVITY LEADS
The Brackett STEM Committee will be hosting our annual STEM Night again this year on March 15th and we're looking for activity leads for the many fun activities we're planning for the evening. If you're interested in participating or have a fun idea to share, please reach out to Jamie Strand. We're very excited for our signature event this year and hope that you'll join us to make it happen!
